New Haven Learning Centre provides comprehensive and individualized educational programs, based on the scientifically proven method of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) across the life span.
Our programs focus on helping each individual student / young adult reach their full potential. We welcome students of any age with autism and other developmental disorders. The importance of evidence-based practice is emphasized in every one of our programs.
We also work collaboratively to deliver effective interventions, high quality care, and a full education to each student in our program. New Haven welcomes professional consultation from colleagues within aligned fields and also focuses on updating clinical expertise whenever possible to continue to offer evidence-based, research-informed, services and program excellence.

The clinical team, along with each student’s parents, work collaboratively to develop an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The IEP is based on each student’s learning style, capabilities, and strengths. The ultimate goal is to support each student’s ability to achieve their highest level of independence.
Proactive and preventative measures support the reduction of challenging behaviours and the increase of positive replacement behaviours. Staff monitor every student’s progress in an effort to improve personal development and success.
We have developed programs to allow children to develop their communication, social, and adaptive skills during their time with us in progressive ratios of instruction. Our ongoing goal is to help prepare children for grade school and success in life. We help students develop the skills they will need to socially integrate with peers and educational communities.

Research demonstrates that the early years of development are critical for children with autism. Experts highly recommend that children begin treatment and therapy programs before grade school. This program offers a highly-structured, engaging, and nurturing learning environment to get young students started in the right direction early.
Our specialized team approach includes Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs), supervising Clinical Coordinators, and RBT-certified Instructor Therapists. Access to Registered Clinical and Developmental Psychologists, Speech – Language Pathologists, and other speciality services is also provided. All team members work together to help each preschool child acquire the language, social, emotional, physical, and academic skills necessary to consider success in alternate public and/or private school systems.
Service is progress driven. Regular and consistent monitoring of development shapes the service offered to each individual student.
