New Haven used the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis rigorously in the programming offered to our clients. As such, all clinical team members are required to begin employment with New Haven with the following credentials or become certified with the probation period and maintain ongoing certification:
Instructor therapists are responsible for the daily implementation and evaluation of individualized programs for our students. They may also provide home consultation services to families, as well as participate in research projects. Individuals applying to be an Instructor Therapist should have a college diploma or university degree in a related field and be already certified or be prepared to be supervised and supported to become certified as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBT) during the probation period.
Clinical Coordinators are responsible for the development, monitoring, and evaluation of individualized programs for our students. This includes supervising home consultation services, training and supervising Instructor Therapists, and assessing the skills of new students. This position may also offer consultative and training services within the extended community.
Individuals applying to be a Clinical Coordinator should have, or be pursuing, a Masters level degree in a related field — and/or have their Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. In addition, Clinical Coordinators must have experience supervising and training staff in the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
